Building Wekan MCP, the First (and Only) Wekan MCP Server I Know Of

I was surprised to find there wasn’t already a Wekan MCP server, so I built one.

Wekan’s been part of my workflow for years. It’s not flashy and it doesn’t trend, but it’s solid, dependable, and has quietly shaped how I organize both my work and my life. I’ve relied on it long enough that building something for it felt like the right way to give back.

That became Wekan MCP Server, the first (and only) one I know of.

It connects Wekan to the MCP ecosystem, giving LLMs a direct view into what’s happening across my boards, the same boards that map out everything from product sprints to personal side projects.

For me, this isn’t about automation. It’s about awareness. When AI has context about what I’m doing, it can adapt, working with my strengths and accounting for my weak spots (where art thou sleep?!)
